MemCredit – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
In short: MemCredit collects no data. The app has no server, no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.
1. Data stored on your device
To work, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your iPhone:
- Card details you enter: card name, bank, the last 4 digits (optional), statement day and due-date rule. The app never asks for or stores full card numbers, CVV codes or banking passwords.
- Statement periods: statement date, due date, the amount to pay if you enter it or the app reads it from the statement, and whether you marked the period as paid.
- App settings, such as the buffer before the statement date.
This data is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
2. Statement PDFs
When you import a statement PDF, the app reads it on your iPhone using Apple's PDFKit and extracts only the statement date, the due date, the card's last 4 digits and the statement balance (for layouts it can read). The app's copy of the file is deleted as soon as the import finishes. Statement contents and transactions are not kept, and nothing leaves the device.
If you use "Scan card with camera", the photo of your card is read on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework to get the bank, card name and last 4 digits. The photo is deleted as soon as it has been read, is not saved to your photo library and never leaves the device. The app keeps only the last 4 digits and never stores the full card number, expiry date or cardholder name.
3. PDF passwords
If you choose "Remember password", the password that opens the PDF is stored in the iOS Keychain as "this device only": it is not synced through iCloud Keychain and not included in backups. You can delete one or all saved passwords in the app's Settings. Note that iOS may keep Keychain items even after the app is deleted; use "Delete all saved passwords on this device" before deleting the app to remove them completely.
4. Notifications
Payment reminders are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. The app does not use any server push service.
5. Third parties
The app includes no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and shares data with no one. Apple may provide developers with anonymous crash reports if you opted in to share with developers in your iPhone settings, under Apple's own policy.
6. Children
The app is meant for adults who hold credit cards and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles data changes, we will update this page and the date above before releasing that version.
8. Developer
MemCredit is an independent app published on the App Store by an individual developer (the name shown on the app's App Store page). It is not made by or affiliated with any bank.
